Susan Benz was born in beautiful Durango, CO. As a child Susan enjoyed singing, drawing, dancing and gymnastics. Susan was a competitive gymnast at Gold Rush Gymnastics and she competed through level 9. She also participated in dance at Durango Ballet Academy.

She spent several years studying ballet, jazz, lyrical and modern. Susan also participated in her high school theater program. She had been a member of the Children's Choral and her church choir. While most of her theater experience came in the form of dance, she is most proud of her performance in Little Shop of Horrors.

Susan graduated high school from Durango High School and graduated from Belmont University, in Nashville, TN, in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in journalism. Susan and Jordan Sagle were married in 2003.

Susan began working toward her fitness goals in 2006. After graduating she decided in was time to get back in shape. She started competing in February 2006 after attending a TAFA training camp. She not only fell in love with fitness competitions, but also the group of people who participate.

Susan is a competitive gymnastics coach in Denver, CO. She also works at a 24 Hour Fitness.

In her free time, she enjoys ice skating with her husband and making art projects.
