Lots of people ask about my training diet. Here's a sample:
Meal 1: Oatmeal with protein powder
Meal 2: "Panookies"
Meal 3: Lean protein, brown rice, green veggie
Meal 4: Brown rice cakes with natural peanut butter and sugar free jelly
Meal 5: Protein shake
Meal 6: Lean protein and green veggies
The best part about this meal plan is that I never feel hungry! All of the meals are very filling. I make sure to drink plenty of water too!
The main things that I miss are sweets, so I try to make my panookies and oatmeal more like pastries! Luckily protein powders and sugar free syrups come in many different flavors!
My favorite cheat is red velvet cake!
I found that nutrition is the best way to get my body in shape. I can go to the gym every day for hours, but if the nutrition is not there, my body won't change. I have also found that I need some way to keep me accountable. I like to keep a nutrition journal, this keeps me honest. However, as I get close to a competition I prefer to meet with my nutritionist, Tiffany Yee. She is able to help me stay on track and adjust my plan as needed.
